We are currently the oldest cantina in Mexico, founded in 1877 by Don Zacarias Amezcua from Zamora, Michoacán. Initially founded as El Bosque cantina, it was lost in a game of poker in 1904 to Don Marcial, a Spanish merchant, who changed the name to Cantina La Iberia, which remains to this day. After Don Marcial, the cantina passed from cantinero to cantinero for three generations, with the first cantinero owner being Don Tori, followed by Don Ramon, and then Don Silver. In 1991, Don Silver sold La Iberia Cantina to the current management. Our most traditional drink is Doña Chela's Batangas 🍹The ultimate snacks are obviously the torta ahogada, as well as tacos, dorados, shrimp broth, cecina cueritos, viril de toro, etc.Come and immerse yourself in our legends and myths while enjoying an unforgettable experience in a place full of tradition and charm!
