Au Pied de Cochon began in 1946 across from the food market Les Halles, opening its doors with the faithful intention of feeding the workers and passersby at any hour of the day or night, with the promise of never closing its doors. This small restaurant - in its origins - quickly gained fame among celebrities from all walks of life and social circles due to its exquisite cuisine, becoming the quintessential Parisian restaurant. A few years later, when the Les Halles market moved to the outskirts of the city, the question arose as to what would become of the restaurant. Unwavering in its destiny, people didn't care about the distance and kept coming back to taste its dishes, creating the phrase: Tous les Chemins Mènent Au Pied de Cochon (all roads lead to Au Pied de Cochon). Today, Au Pied de Cochon is situated across from beautiful gardens that replaced the old market Pavilions, and surrounded by fashion boutiques and stores of all kinds, remaining the main attraction of this neighborhood, the oldest and most important nucleus of Parisian life, named by French writer Emile Zola The Belly of Paris. Durante muchos años habíamos considerado el restaurante como EXCELENTE y así lo recomendabas a muchos amigos ; pero esta ocasión nos fue MAL .Comenzamos con el steak tartar servido en la mesa cuando en el pasado era preparado especialmente en la mesa para nosotros.Las papas famosas que siempre eran una delicia estaban muy distintas y como hechas con mucho tiempo y recalentadas.La Sopa de lentejas nos pareció demasiado espesa como una compota y con sabor muy fuerte a Foi y trufa.No sabía a lentejas .
El servicio bien pero no sobresaliente. EL FILET MIGÑON fue lo único real.ente a la altura de lo que esperábamos.

Riquísima la comida, buen servicio y muy buena presentación en los alimentos
